removing single linebreaks, leaving double

i need help removing any single linebreaks while leaving all double breaks alone. say i have a line like this:

annie had\n
a bump on\n
her head\n
\n

and want it to look something like this:

annie had a bump on her head\n

well i sort of got it working, though its certainly not pretty.
replace \n with bloomph
replace bloomphbloomph with \n
replace bloomph with <space>

Have you tried Edit - Reformat

(maybe combined with switching on word wrap)

yeah reformat ended up working a little bit better. :oops: thanks.
