Open highlighted file

Post by planetecs »

It would be nice to highlight a file name in a file being edited and do a control-o and have it open that file. 8)

TextPad's help is quite helpful. In the section How To... | Work with Files | Open a File or URL Named in a Document it says: Select the file name in the text, and use the Go To File command (Ctrl+Shift+G) to open it.

Interesting sidenote: I was reading that when Microsoft was pouring through enhancement requests for the next version of Office they found an extraordinarily high percentage (don't remember the exact figure) were for things you could already do in Office.

Wouldn't it be nice if all enhancement requests were fulfilled instantaneously!

And the more significant figures that are quoted in the numbers, the more authoritative they are.
