Stretching search (and replace) box fields

The regexp S&R functionality is powerful and I am a complete addict!

However, my regexps often extend to beyond the length of the input text controls provided. This makes it very tricky to work with.

Surely it would be a fairly simple change to make the S&R dialog box expandable, and the text controls expand with the box?


(Its everywhere, but see most if not all text boxes in Mozilla, eg, Tools, Options, General then expand the box to the right.)

Until Helios fixes this you can hack it to your liking, see here, look at item 7 and the link there. Or just go straight for the meat here. As a regex addict you really should also look at some tool with a much more powerful regex engine, oddly only Wildedit comes to my mind! HTH
