thanks but this doesn't help to fix the problem because the problem is just with the textpad.exe - every other .msi is no problem!

thanks for a better answer ;)

Have you tried downloading the msi again?

Also, under requirements it says:

TextPad requires Windows 95 (SP1), 98, ME, NT 4.0 (SP6a), Windows 2000 (SP4) or XP.

Your Windows 2003 is not in that list.

Have you tried any of the solutions from the Microsoft Knowledge Base article?

I can reassure you that TextPad does work on "Windows 2003 Enterprise Edition".

This might work: take out your harddrive, hit it 10 times as hard as you can with a ball pein hammer, then reinstall harddrive. If your computer will not boot up, that means you have a bad harddrive. At that point, purchase a new harddrive, install Windows 95 (SP1), 98, ME, NT 4.0 (SP6a), Windows 2000 (SP4) or XP. You will likely find that you will be able to install TextPad with no problem.

sorry guys but i realy have a problem with installing textpad on our Windows 2003 Enterprise Server.

we are a company "netcetera" and we purchased about 50 licenses.

i've also called the Microsoft Support Center with this problem but they couldn't help me because every other .msi file works fine!

so now i need realy a good technical help!

Seems more and more software distributors are going here:

http://nsis.sourceforge.net

It doesnt even require internet explorer for it to work! :)
