IntelliSense/Auto-Completion

Post by ds0934 »

This may have been requested by others already (I didn't see it from a cursory search). It would be nice to have a document-class related autocomplete feature that could tie into the syntax files for the list of words/names to display. An in-place popup list would be ideal, if that's possible and not patented by evil, corporate monsters.

I just realized that the syntax file wouldn't suffice as it doesn't provide support for specifying arguments or argument descriptions. This would probably require a new supporting file type for autocompletion.

All whining aside, I have to say that I've used dozens of editors for coding in all the languages and dialects I deal with. I always come back to TextPad. It's just the most flexible, yet easy to use, editor I've ever found and talk about cost-effective. Also, it doesn't hog my CPU or memory resources and takes very little disk space. A dream come true for my editing needs. Great work!
