Displaying of $FileName and $BaseName with Java

I am trying to use $FileName for compilation of Java Programs using Textpad. Textpad compiles the file as required but does not translate the $FileName parameter (I have Prompt for parameters selected. But I do not get to see the 'actual' filename.) I am using Textpad version 4.7.x. Any suggestions?
