inregistered after an "IT" change

Post by mitch.barker »

IT moved me to a new domain which came with a new user name. Now TP thinks I am unregistered. TP also seems to have forgotten many preferences such as window placement.

I didn't see any Heliosor TextPad related folders under documents and settgins (which is where a lot of my other stuff got lost too).

As suggested in another post, I looked through the registry, but didn't see any entries about the license location.

Any tips?

Thanks

Information on how to transfer your personal configurations, which will include your license details, is available from the Help menu as follows:

From the Help menu choose:

1. Help Topics
2. Contents
3. Plus sign next to "How to"
4. Plus sign next to "Customize settings"
5. Transferring between Pc's

I did not move to a new PC, so exporting from hkey current user, then importing to hkey current user, may not work. I found my old license code, so I'll just start "clean". Maybe I'll check out the latest version of TP while I'm at it.

Thanks.
