TextPad / DOS

When trying to run application, DOS pops up and closes immediately.

Needless to say this is extremely annoying, can do all from command line, however, this is not my preferred way.

Help?

Can you please be more specific.

What application are you trying to run?
How are you trying to run it?
What tools/commands/settings are you using?

Java program, tool 1 configured path to java bin directory where javac.exe is, tool 2 configured where java.exe is

paramaters for Run Java Application $BaseName
initial folder $FileDir

OS: WinXP Pro

Suggest that you move this posting to the Java forum. The Java specialists are there to help you out.

Migh also be helpful if you read the first two "sticky" messages at the top of the Java forum. Also scroll through that forum and/or search. Others have probably had the same problem as you are seeing.
