Default folder for "Find In Files"

Post by vinbrendel »

When I do a Ctrl-F5 (Find In Files), the "In Folder" field defaults to the last folder I searched in. This has buggered me up one too many times, because I have several different directories with different CVS branches of the same repository checked out on my computer.

Can you change the default search folder to the folder containing the file I was in when I pressed Ctrl-F5, which is similar to what "Open..." does.

I would be very grateful.

YOU can do that YOURSELF.
Simply click on the "Defaults" Button in the dialog to change to the current folder.

I know I can do it myself, I can just select the right folder from the drop-down list. That was not the point. And using the "Defaults" button also changes all the other settings and that's definitely not what I want.

My change request remains. I realize that I'm a spoiled user, but that's what you get from using TextPad versus all the other crap editors out there.
