I'm not sure if my memory is right, but I seem to remember that an earlier version of TextPad allowed the display of a vertical line along a specified column of the editor when using a fixed width font. It's handy when I'm editing mainframe files, where the record lengths have to be under a certain size. Is that feature still in the latest version (I'm using 4.7.2)?
Thanks.

Alas, it's not and I don't remember it in older versions either. I found several links to this topic using search and IMHO it's time to make a poll.

I'd also like to be able to set TP's background for a column range, ie. light yellow for cols 5 thru 60 etc. Multilple ranges even. All per document class off course
