lost! associated files settings

Post by mdfogg »

I'm using 4.7.2 on a windows 2000 os, machine and every once in a while I lose my associated files settings. but today they disapear everytime I open Textpad. I've restored them, reset them, reloaded 4.7.2, rebooted, etc. etc. The problem doesn't seem to affect the other settings, just assoiated files.
Please help

:?: :?: :?:

Thanks!

Are your files un-associated then or are they associated to some other program (if so, which?)

associated files settings

They are un-associated. .txt defaults to Notepad  I can't determine what has changed on my Pc to cause this, as I'm on a Net work.

Thanks

Your settings are saved somewhere like:
c:\winnt\pROFILES\USER\Application Data\TextPad and are updated by the support team regularly from a general image.

Chenge them to your "personal" drive:

In TextPad:
Configure | preferences | Folders
and change them.
