I am currently trying to use TextPad, because of it's flexibility, to allow users to view mainframe Cobol reports that were originally viewed through microfiche only, due to the size of the report.
I would like to be able to highlight sections of the report for the user's viewing pleasure. Things like report titles, total lines, plant names, etc. I have created a new Document class and a new syntax file to go with that document class. Unfortunately I have not been able to find a way to highlight things (words) that have spaces imbeded in them. (I even have one report title that has a space between every letter.) I have used the SingleComment Syntax option to highlight the whole row for titles but I can not assign a "generic" value to it (like all starting with J111 and then anything else next to it). If I can't do this, I will have to set up separate Document Classes and syntax files to go with each different report. Is there any way to specify, for SingleComment, a wildcard so that all my reports can use the same Document class and syntax file?
Is there any way to have entries in the [Keywords n] sections with imbeded spaces without having a separate entry for the words? (Like Des Plaines, St. Marys or Final Total)
