Windows registry files edited with version 4.7.2 are no longer recognised as valid by RegEdit.
The solution (spotted by Mudguard) is to create a new document class for *.reg files with "Write Unicode and UTF8 BOM" checked.
If it's not possible to reinstate the old behaviour, how about adding support for a .reg file document class by default?
Add .Reg Files as a default document class

So what kind of hat are we talking about? A ball-cap, beret, balmoral, fedora, cowboy, stove-pipe, doo-rag, glengarry...
[edit]Well this post would make more sense if s_reynisson hadn't removed his post where he challenged the TextPad developers to incorporate MudGuard's above post into Version 5 wherein he would eat his hat. He also stated that he'd been drinking however I fail to see a correlation between the two.
