File comes back as word pad instead of text pad.

Hello!

I searched the forums but could not find an answer so here goes.

I have xp pro.

When I save a text pad file and then call it up again it comes back in a note pad window.

When I had W98 SE it came back as a text pad file.

How do I get xp pro to do the same?

In Textpad goto Configure->Preferences->Associated Files and add your
file ending in the listbox.
You can also associate a file type with a class under
Configure->Preferences->Document Classes->(Your Class). HTH
