Max length of keyword in syntax file

I am trying to create a syntax file for an odd file type and it has some keywords that are very long example "NumberOfEventRetractionHandlesToCreateBeforeStartingNewPurgeCycle". Is there a max lenght of keywords? Keyword lenght paramiter is not present in my syntax section so it sould be unlimited lenght keywords right?

Now before you sugest that I change the keyword name, I can't. This file is used by another program that I do not have the source code for nor the rights to make changes to it.

So my choices are to delete this item from my syntax file or find out why it is being called "invalid data".

Also this keyword is not duplicated anywhere else in the syntax file.
