Highlighting/commenting out code

Post by jdelisle »

I searched through the forums to find similar enhancements, but I didn't see anything that was related to my suggestion.

I often use textpad to write/edit SQL and Unix scripts. I would desparately love a feature to auto-comment code. For example, I would select a large portion of code, right click, then select the option to comment out my highlighted section. I've been using macros to comment out sections in the past, but I thought I'd mention the idea.

I love textpad!

Hey, this is a great idea, although it may be necessary to distinguish between when you want to single-line or multi-line comment out things. How would you envision that working? Two different commands, I guess.

And the comment markers are already in the syntax file...
