Opening Multiple files

Post by p40whk »

:(

I just upgraded my machine and had to reinstall TextPad and can't seem to figure out how to get the program to do what it did on my old machine;

I used to be able to select multiple files in windows explorer (many times over 50 files), right clicking and selecting TextPad. When I do this now it only allows me to open 23 files (tabbed) in a single window.

Also, if I have files open and I wish to open additional files (add files to the existing opened files from windows explorer), opening them using the same method as above starts a new TextPad application running which does not allow me to manipulate all the files at once.

Any help fixing this would be appreciated.

Not sure what's causing the first part, but you can prevent the second part by going to Configure | Preferences | General and un-checking "Allow multiple instances to run".

Or, if you'd rather be able to run multiple instances, you can drag and drop the new batch of selected files into the textpad window you want...
