1. Go to View - and uncheck Document Tabs (if you have more than one document open you will get a full screen of the first document in the stack).

Ok, I solved this issue... I thought I'd post the solution is case anyone else needs it:

On Windows Vista click the start menu ----> Run
Type: regedit
Click: OK
Windows will ask for permission, click: Continue

Navigate to: HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shell

Right-click on “shell� and choose to create ...

I used to edit .html files with textpad all the time with no problem.

A few days ago I noticed that when I Right-click a file and select "Textpad" the file takes forever to open, and Explorer hangs and says, :"Not Responding".
