The person that created the text-file removed the "extra" characters and that fixed the "invalid (non-display) characters" problem.

Right-click the shortcut that you're using to launch TextPad (e.g. on the Start menu, desktop or Quick Launch toolbar) and click Properties. Enter your designated folder in the Start in field.

My suspicion is that Windows 7 handles TP as a rogue element trying to fiddle with the registry and this falls under the group policy of Windows 7. I am going to play around with the Windows 7 policies and see what I come up with. ________________________________ WOW Gold | Runescape Money
