Thank you AmigoJack for the instructive next step. I will try that site again but now in retirement, with more earnestness and time than I had 9 years ago. After finding Jan Goyvaets's site in 2013, I bought the book https://www.regular-expressions.info/hipowls.html . I never made it past the first ...

Thank you for the reply. Here's a snip from one of the html reports; the table structure is the same, but the cell values may be different. <tr> <th>Filename</th> <th>Latitude</th> <th>Longitude</th> <th>Elevation</th> <th>Roll</th> <th>Pitch</th> <th>Yaw</th> </tr> <tr> <td align="left">DJI_0090 ...

Streamlining Guidance Request
Hello, My regex powers are mediocre on good days. I've manged to accomplish what I need to do one step at a time, but the repeated chore makes me wonder if the process might be streamlined. I'm not asking for somebody to do the work for me, but rather I'm hoping for guidance on the best approach to ...

So your overall point is: put every line of a text file into an XML element? Yes, that's correct. To explain a little further, I had been asking a software developer how one might add verbose custom metadata to georeferenced imagery. The initial response included more than one means with the xml ...

Is there an equally handy way of moving ASSOCIATIONS; i.e., those extensions entered into TextPad, Configure, Preferences, Associated Files?

What's TextPad's "flavor"?
Friedl's book arrived in yesterday's post and it's got me wondering about what he refers to as regex flavors (i.e., perl, java, php, .NET) and whether or not the kernel, engine, or whatever the proper term for the facilitation of regular expressions in TextPad/WildEdit even has a "flavor".
