I installed over the top of the existing 5.3.1 installation in my usual procedure.

Textpad 5.4 came up and asked if I wanted to switch over to the new toolbar and I said yes.

Things seemed good until I exited and restarted at which time it loaded, the gray area seemed to stay around for longer ...
