Good point, Web. NetCaptor does that, even allowing your to choose the color or shade you like for the unselected tabs. Still, since TextPad has tabs, I'd like to see its functionality expand to include these minor changes.

TextPad 4.7b works great for plain text and most html editing. However, if you're doing programming, XML, or database work - esp. with larger files - I'd recommend UltraEdit instead. Just wondering if anyone knew when TextPad is scheduled to be updated. Seems like we have a lot of issues on the table (forum) that should be resolved in the next 4.7/5.0 upgrade. I know Helios is deliberate in their upgrades, and never in a hurry, which is fine by me.

Customization can be essential, especially for keyboard shortcuts that guide menu options, commands, and macros. If you tend to customize TextPad, would a table of your TextPad keyboard shortcuts be useful to you as in the example found at: http://www.anova.org/target/kb-shortcutmap.gif?

Crimson Editor and UltraEdit allow the active line color/shade to be customized. I shade it light gray or light yellow and it's noticeable, but not obtrusive. It's a good feature.
