I decided to use a simple solution. Uninstalled the TextPad and re-installed. That solved the whole problem. But I wish to know what cause the shift of font. I recall that it happend a few times in the past.

I see that in my computer (XP). In addition, what you suggested, I even tried Courier-wp. All showed italic. I am quite puzzled about this event.
It happened a couple hours ago. I am now forced to use Notepad instead of TextPad. Regards, James

Suddnely, italic courier font became default setting for TextPad v.4.7 today. I checked Configure > Preferences > Document Classes >Font Regarldes the settingof the Scope either to Screen or Printer. What I see was that there are only three kinds of Courier fonts (italic, bold, italic bold). I could ...
