While looking old threads, I found a similar post. The answer was: "Look in the help file for the topic "How to Customize Colors" and then you can change the colour for the item "Selected text (no focus)"". When I tried, it did not work. I tried all kinds of color comib...

Changing the intensity of highlighted grey color?

I do use search/find a lot. During search, those found target words are very gently highlighted. With my new LCD monitor, it takes forever to locate the highlighted/found words. because highlighted color is too thin. Is there anyway to increase the intensity of the highlighted grey color? James

Occassional failure in pasting

Changing cursor position

Whenever a txt file is open, the cursor blinks on the top of the txt file.
Is there any quick way to position at the bottom of the file (or at the end of text?

File Number Issue

I currently use Textpad 4.7.3. Everything works fine except for this problem. Under Preference >Files, I set the number of recent files on File menu 9 and Number of recent workspaces on File menu to 9. Then, clicked "apply". It works but not all the time. It seems that the number 9 reverts...

Removing or changine header

This is a newbie's question.
Whenever I print txt file, the following header appears:

"What's new about TextPad Support Download Buy Add-ons".

Please advise me how to remove the header or change the header.

Thanks. insitus

OT: security or protection programs for txt files?

Since text files are easier to open and use than other document progrmams (e.g., Microsoft Word), I use mainly TextPad for storing confidential and/or proprietary information. I would like to hear from experienced TexPad fans what security or encryption programs are convenient and effective for text...

TextPad vs. RTF file

Since TextPad is a very versatile program, I am tempted to ask another question.

I am wondering whether there is a way to open RTF files on TexPad and vice versa (saving txt files as rtf files). Satoshi

I tried with a simple text files containg a few paragraphs. Yes. Indeed I could save it as html but it only created one paragraph. Since the saved html does not contain a single tag, I won't call it html file. Do you?
