Dropdown Menu Limitations
Is there any way to modify the amount of previous searches are stored in the drop down? I sometimes spend 10 minutes or so putting together a complex regular expression and try to recall it, but it's gone.
Thanks,
Trey

Open several documents at the same time from different dir..
This is a neat trick. Just use windows search to search for whatever it is you are wanting to open (hopefully they have something in common). If they don't, you can search for just there extension and then sort your findings by date, size, etc... then simply hold down control and click each file you...

What's the best programming language to make use of....
Hi all. I have been a devoted and loyal fanatic of Textpad going on 4 years now. While I have pretty much mastered Textpad's Regular expressions, I so much want to learn a programming language that will make the best use of that knowledge and allow me an edge. Sure wish Textpad made a language, I wo...

Mudguard, Thanks for your reply. So bottom line, will my regular expressions (The way I know them) be able to be plugged in to VB as is? Sorry for seeming so anal about this, it's just something I need to know before deciding to go that route with VB. Also, if the answer is no..... then again I have...

I think they're the same all over, esp. if you go to Configure->Preferences->Editor->Use POSIX... Hey all, I did not notice this portion of this post initially, only the link. I am glad you posted this because it's a prime example of what I was trying to say in my initial post of not being able to ...

Hey, thanks for the rapid reply. I have done that in the past. The link you posted shows 167,000 while if you ad textpad to it, it knocks it down to 384. Most of what is there is just talking about the text editor of choice, etc.. Maybe I am just missing something or trying to make it harder than it...

Visual Basic & Regular Expressions
Has anyone made a module, or is there an easy way to transfer textpad's regular expressions in to VB? I am just now learning VB and have a decent knowledge of regular expressions and would hate to let it all go to waste. Thanks, Darin P.S My other user name of Texasmeds would not let me log in or se...
