Preferences / View / Tabbed Document Selector checkboxes. Select the At top of frame option.

The current and future releases of Word should be much easier to interpret with TextPad where they use XML (WordML) as the document format.

And/or just a radio button to grey out files and folders options to enable a search in the current workspace.

do you mean that you physically moved the file there? I believe you need to open TextPad, select the registration menu item and paste the contents of the licence file into the window.

This should do it.
