Serious problems occurred when upgrading to 7 from 6 (XP)

The following problems occurred when upgrading to version 7, using XP Professional:

1. When attempting to close a file, Textpad freezes.
2. The Preferences box takes a long time to come up.
3. A large portion of my settings did not copy over.

Lost settings when going from 6 to 7.

I attempted to add to existing thread and to write to support - no answer.

I upgraded from 5 to 7, but the settings did not transfer. I uninstalled 7, then installed 6. I copied the sample folder from 5 to 6. Everything was good. Then I waited the several years it takes for it to let you download ...

LDR's fix works for version 5, too

I tried LDR's fix (delete in explorer; set in textpad), and it worked for my version 5 textpad. (He had thought it a problem in earlier versions only.)

Before this, Textpad would open the file, but complain (or MS Windows would) that it couldn't find it. And if there were spaces in the path, it ...

Manage files exits in XP

My machine was just converted to Microsoft XP. I think it worked at first, but now I find that when I hit "Manage Files" I get the system error box and it exits.

Anyone have any ideas?
