I think I have similar problem with 8.1.2 on windows 10. I have changed colours for search results but they don't apply even if I run as administrator. The colours are correct in preferences. Same settings work with 7.3.0 on windows 7 64bit.

Thanks for reply which has sorted it for me. The shortcut doesn't appear (unlike most) when File is opened.

Increasing problems under Windows 7

As well as textpad taking forever to restore from minimised I now have problem that Replace disappears and will not come back (F8). I close the Replace window and it will not restore either with F8 or via the Search->Replace. Find is ok (F5). Only fix is to close textpad and restart. Any help ...

Textpad very slow to reopen in Windows 7

Have discovered that with windows 7 if I minimize textpad and then reopen it it takes a very long time to come back to life. Any ideas?
Running on a dual core 3.0GHz 4G memory PC with about 50% memory usage and 26% cpu.
