I have a workaround... added my user account to local admin group (which will be over-ridden at next login by policy), install TextPad 9.6.2 - all good and does not require admin to run.

Installing 'for me only' or all users results in the same thing - the app is installed in the profile of the admin user.

My "managed" i mean domain-joined with very restrictive security policy. I have admin credentials to use when required. I'll run the installer again (currently back on v9.6.1).

9.6.2 will not install on managed computer
I use a managed computer for work. The install appears to fail if I install for myself or all users. i need to enter admin credentials too. On examination nothing is installed in Program Files or AppData, yet the install reports being completed successfully. No issues with 9.6.1.

I use Oracle Virtualbox v4.0.12 (free desktop virtualisation). I have a Virtual Machine running XP, using a shared folder on the host machine.
