Thanks Bob
I don't think it needs a thorough explaination. Just an example of the and, or differeneces. It took me all day to try to figure this out, and I still didn't figure it out until BJ helped me. "But the listing of symbols is pretty clear", but that's just it, it wasn't clear to me, I read, and re-read ...

Ok, Thanks Bob for answering that and clearing that up. per your suggestion, I went back to check the help file again, and no where does it give such example or explanation. the version I have is 5.0.3 I think something so basic should be put in the help file. I did put it in for a feature request ...

Help File add example to Find more than 1 word on same line
I have a feature request for something very simple to be put in the Help section. All I needed was to search for multiple or more than one word on the same line, at the same time. Meaning BOTH or AND, not EITHER or OR search. I went to the TextPad (TP) Help file, but no such example was given. I had ...

Thanks Ben that worked
Thank you very much Ben, that worked! all I needed was this part inbound.*10.104.8.140 So the dot . is the (and separator), and the * asterics is the wild card to search for and match subsequent string. Funny how I looked that up in the Help file and it doesn't show it. I think I'll enter it as a ...

Problem Solved -
:D Problem solved. My hunch was correct, it was a bookmark to Paste buffer size problem. See my Syslog file is 850+MB for a 24 hour period. So the things I bookmarked are 30-40% of that, making it 350-400MB worth of bookmarks. So it exceeded the buffer for the EDIT/copy or cut/paste. Once I broke it ...

Can someone confirm please (paste buffer size limitation?0
:( I think I might know the cause. This is a VERY LARGE syslog file, I'm disseminating. 850MB. and the Bookmarked files are probably 30-405 of that. So that would be in the ball park of 300-400MB worth of bookmarks. So, is that my problem? it is TOO LARGE a size for the paste buffer? Thanks in ...

Paste Greyed out under Edit/copy other
:( Bob, I tried what u said and it is greyed out there also. Originally, I tried to right click on the bookmark itself. Funny thing was it was NOT greyed out Before I did the copy other/bookmarks. After I did the copy, it got greyed out. Go figure. I can't paste anywhere, not even on the same page ...

I think I did, now I can't remember, I'll try it tomorrow at work,
I do remember, right clicking on the bookmark and seeing the paste, was greyed out.
I'll give it a shot tomorrow and get back,
Thanks in Advance
