Visible spaces

Hi helios, Thanks for the anwser. I have never used workspaces in Textpad before, so I took a look after your answer. Interesting, but it's not exactly want to achieve. I am looking for a solution working for every file I open in TextPad. (Ideally, it could be a property attached to a Document Class ...

Visible spaces as default

Hi everyone,

I like to make spaces in my files visible.
I can activate this option each time I open a new document (Ctrl+Q, I) but is it possible to make it active by default?

Thanks in advance

OK, I found the solution.
Configure/Preferences/Documents Classes/Binary

Opening a file in text mode

Hi everyone,

I have a text file with a .dot extension (not a Word document.)

When I try to open it with Textpad, for some reason it thinks it's a binary file and opens it in hexa mode.

How can I force the text mode?

Thanks in advance
Philippe

TP5 & Context Menu in Explorer

Hil all, I have just installed TextPad 5.0.3 over my previous 4.7 version. With the previous version (4.7) when invoking the contextual menu in Explorer on a file (right-clik), we had an item "TextPad" which allowed us to edit any file with TextPad. Looks like this feature has disappeared. Now I ...
