I agree with this. The jumping tabs is a real nuisance. Effectively, you can't reorder tabs if they take up more than one row.

I think it would be easier using textpad and select "Configure-Preferences" from the menu and check the "Context menu". The ability to tile windows is still there in TextPad 5, but it is disabled when the Document tabs are turned on. I appreciate finding your reply. It does indeed work if I turn off the document tabs. So now the people in my household will be happy that the naughty words have been turned off ...
