Now for the annoying question where I should have looked before asking...

Is TextPad user modifiable with add-ins or such so that one could write a bit of code to do what I want, like moving the current cursor position to a different place on the screen? Or, are we stuck with ...

Is there a command or shortcut to scroll the current screen view so that the current cursor position is moved to the middle vertically?

I can wheel up or down, or mouse on the scroll bar, but I want a keyboard command to do so quickly. Other editors have this.

Is it possible to open the same document in separate tabs, effectively providing 2 or more full screen views of the same document, and each updating the other views when changes made? I know about split screening, but I need more view control in each tab, and full screen views are very helpful ...

I did try copying a working custom.bnd to the problem computer. I then tried copying every file in the folder with custom.bnd. I tried uninstalling TP and removing all files related to TP (didn't go to registry), and reinstalling.

I uninstalled and reinstalled 5.0.3 and 5.2 ...

Every install of TP has worked fine until I installed on a Thinkpad R61, core 2, with xp sp3. All other programs on this machine with keyboard shortcuts are working fine.
