I just tried the steps I wrote in 2010 and they still work. I've made some minor adjustments here: Step 1: Determine the search URL Open your preferred search engine and search for the word "TEST". Note of the URL of the results page. For example, Google returns something like: https://www.google ...

Topic: Migration of V8.10.0 macros - How ?

You shouldn't have to migrate the macros. When you upgrade to 8.14.2 they should still be there. If you want to make a backup before you upgrade, click Configure > Preferences > Folders > Macros and back up the *.TPM files in your macros folder.

Why not just keep using this forum for bug reports? There’s only been about 50 posts started or bumped this whole year; it’s not a busy place. How about at least upgrading phpBB to the current version?

Did you miss the announcement yesterday? The new version (8.14.0) fixes the problem. I think this is set a record in how quickly a TextPad bug has been fixed.

Here's the trick: Set the Background colour to whatever you want the highlight to be. Set the Foreground colour to the same colour as the background. In the Foreground colour drop-down, click More Colors . On the Custom tab, change one of the Red , Green or Blue values by 32 . For example, if you ...

For the behaviour you're describing, you want to set the Home key as the shortcut for the LineStart command.

Make sure in the Keyboard preferences window that you click the Assign button before exiting. If you don't press Assign, the shortcut is not saved.

Topic: Is it possible to prevent auto-saving of workspaces?

Did you open another workspace? The help file explains that if you open a workspace and another one is already opened, the latter will automatically be saved and closed. If that's what happened, the only way to prevent it being automatically saved would be to close it manually, in which case TextPad ...

It would be useful to see the actual HTML code. Could you post the code for the table containing the five rows in your example? I'd suggest using the code tags for just the HTML code, not for explanatory text.

.editconfig files aren't for storing TextPad configuration. It's more the opposite: a way to set up TextPad and other editors in a certain way for, say, a particular project. The help window for the Preferences page that ben_josephs referred to includes a link to the EditorConfig specifications ...

You can change this as follows:
  1. Click Configure > Preferences
  2. Expand Document Classes
  3. Expand Default
  4. Click Syntax
  5. In Other characters in words, enter: @%
If you want to restrict this behaviour to just Perl files, you can create a new document class for them.
