With older Textpad (v4.7), I could open files in a different directory using control-o and then ".." and keep hitting ENTER to continue going up a directory level (the ".." would stay in the filename textbox).
But now, typing ".." + ENTER results in the directory name we just came from being in the ...

Invoking External Tools
Upgrading from v4.7 (hey, it worked great!) to v7.4.
The old version had all the external tools listed right on the tools menu, so I put my most-used tool last and it could be invoked quickly with Alt-T, up-arrow, enter. Or I also assigned hotkeys, so Alt-T, y was for "Prett&y Print", etc.

This 64 kb limit is used on the test file only, which is loaded into memory and operared on there using F3, Ctrl-F3 and F4. - HTH
