Well, it doesn't select to the end of the file, but shift-ctrl-end does.

Have you tried creating a workspace??, then opening that workspace all your stuff will be intact and it will even take you back to the line you were at when you closed TP.. I use TextPad constantly, and it's one of the best applications I've ever used. The one feature I would love to see is persistent bookmarks.
