Go to Configure -> Preferences -> General, and look towards the bottom of the dialog box "Put Shortcuts to TextPad on" section, and place a tick in the box labelled Context Menu.

This enhancement has been asked for many times. Helios, stupidly, maintains a stony silence on what enhancements they are working on.

Meanwhile, other editors are surpassing TextPad in features and usability. Helios, and TextPad, has a lot of catching up to do, not the least being to restore ...

What I can't understand is why Helios changed things like this. Version 4.7.3 was and is a great text editor with a user interface that we have become used to. (Let's face it, we've had a couple of years to get used to it.)

Now they bring out version 5.x, which we all know now is just a beta ...

It is listed on the front page, but is not available from the Text section.

It worked! I uninstalled, and went through the Registry to delete all references to TextPad. Then I reinstalled TextPad and the dictionaries.

The dictionaries still went into a "Textpad 4" folder. Unfortunately, I didn't test the spelling function before I installed the dictionaries, so I don't ...

I also cannot get spelling to work in 5.x. I downloaded the txplex473.exe installer and ran it. It seems to have installed stuff in the "TextPad 4" folder.
