I too miss the old way, it really worked, but, there are some few things I like with the new docking tool output window. Now I can use tools that shows me the class-overview / headings with linenumbers and I can then dobbelclick these to get to the right place in the code... if only dobbelclicking ...

But this does not solve the whole problem.
I uses TextPad from a range of programs that starts TextPad based on document extension.

When I run tools in textpad 5 and dobbelclicks line that matches "Regular expression to match output", the focus remains in the tool output window, instead of moving to the correct document window. In Textpad 4.73 the program remembers the last window size the program had. If I closed the program from maximized condition/size, then the program next time it was started, started maximized. This was a very nice feature, and saved me a lot of clicking, as I like to run programs maximized on ...
