compare files out put window not showing
I am a long time user but haven't been using textpad for a while.
just tried to compare 2 files and can't get it to work. The command results window is not to be found.
Any hints on how to get it to reappear ?

5.4 bug
There seems to be a bug in version 5.4
The tools in the tool bar show up twice. Once in a text form "Tool1" "Tool2" etc. and then again with the icon of the hammer
In the text form, the mouseover always shows the name of the first tool for each of them regardless of their number .
Any way to fix ...

you'll be better off spending time with a third party macro tool.
all will allow means of building and editing your own macros which can be applied on tp files.
I use this a a tool for organizing my own executables.
