Not that I am aware of.
It's worth saving these 2 files whenever you change any configuration settings:
%AppData%\Helios\TextPad\8
ConfigState.xml
GUIState.xml
If you lose your settings, close all instances of TextPad, restore those files, and try again.

Still sounds minimized, just as windows are when off-screen. Have you ever tried to actually click the "minimize" button?
