I typically keep a lot of files (100) open and flip around in the Document Selector to find them. Since updating to 5.4.2 I notice that the spot on the selector (the file that's highlighted) changes whenever I open a new file. The selector jumps up to the first page. It is not reasonable that Textpad (5.4.2) removes the BOM (initial two bytes of 0xFFFE) from files which contain it.
