Files with the extension .gz are zipped files.
You need to unzip them before opening in textpad.

But there is a poll for this feature

If the relevant information has a unique qualifier try the "Find in Files .."-function. Select "Search | Find in Files" or press Strg+F5.

I have no idea why, but a doubleclick on the status-bar shows this information.

But it disappears as quick as it appears after the first mouse-click, key pressed ...

Maybe it was solved this wy due to performance problems in an ealier version.
