I can confirm this problem.
Just let me add that the active tab always have a Close button but hoovering over inactive tabs show only sometimes the button. If the button occure on new tabs the behaviour of inactive tabs is different between the first onces and the new.
I'm using Windows XP SP3

Yes
thank you for your input 1) "[x] Use POSIX ..." is selected 2) For both tools is defined: File:[1] Line:[2] Column: [ ] Except the different paths there is no difference between the tool definitions. It should work :-) If the batch files are different, maybe in defining environment variables or "cd ...

Cannot jump to item under the cursor
Hey guys, I work with a certain compiler for about 15 years now - most time with textpad. I almost thought I know what I'm doing. But now this: I'm working with textpad and invoke a make with a batchfile. This batch is called from textpad. I have added the regular expressions for the output and can ...

Textpad 5.3: Search selected Text does not work sometimes
Selecting a word with double-click Press Ctrl-F5 or F5 or Strg-F This does not work sometimes. The old search content remains in the "Find what" editbox. It does not have to do with the file it-self since some switching between the opened files repairs the behavoir. I never experienced this with ...

Keyboard in search results
Using Textpad 5.2 If the search window is already open and I start a new search then I'm not able to use the cursor down key to navigate through the new search result. The cursor stops at the end of the last result. I can set the cursor with the mouse into the new result. Doing this it is possible ...

Problem with Textpad's DDE compatibility?
Please have a look at this discussion: http://www.ghisler.ch/board/viewtopic.php?t=15890 Windows Commander sometimes loses the message loop when textpad is started. The author explains this with a bug in DDE handling of the application. I also have that problem with textpad. But different to the ...

Dialog "Fill Selected Block"
If the radiobutton "With characters" has the focus and you press the tab key the focus jumps to the next radiobutton group ("Format").
I think, this is not intended. After "tab" I expect the focus in the edit box to enter the characters.

Tool output and search window as normal text windows
With v5 the windows are only dockable to one of the sides. In Textpad v4.x they behave like normal text windows. This worked better because they can use the full client area for output.
Is it possible to dock the tool and search windows as normal text windows so that they get own tabs?

Find In Files dialogbox
Found in TP5.02. This is not a hard problem: The position of dialog "Find" is different from "Find in Files". (this is new?) If I switch between the dialogs using [Strg-F5] and [F5] it happened sometimes that the dialog "Find in Files" is placed above the upper desktop position. I can see only the ...
