I agree, this is no improvement. Before, I could click to restore then click to close. So I had to do one to two clicks, depending on what I wanted. Now I have to do two clicks, no matter what I want to do. See also another post about this, " Double Click System Tray ICON to restore TextPad ...

By and large, software development is not done by license vote unless we're talking a really big amount of licenses. I also doubt your other 20 licensees are as keen on it as you are. I agree. This was different before Version 5 and, mildly put, this is no improvement, particularly considering that the tray menu has a whopping two items. Weighing how often I want to restore/hide TextPad against how often I want to close it, you make me jump through hoops. How about a left-click ...
