The comment's color doesn't match their settings, and (as has been written before) the bracket's color doesn't match their settings either. Yup! :) But you only seem to be bugged about the default text color - Priorities! :) are you even sure you're looking at the syntax definition that is being us...

hence XCOPY seems to act differently to you (when in fact it just corresponds to the environment and quits if no STDIN is available - unbound to if it ever needs it). If it is quitting due to STDIN being absent (needlessly in the /? case) then there's no 'seems'. It is acting differently. A workaro...

But your example showing it working outside TP uses copy, not xcopy Oops! Well spotted. Thanks. That was a erroneous screenshot, now corrected to show that XCOPY does succeed outside TP. When using XCOPY to copy a source to a destination it normally prompts asking if the destination specifies a fil...

8.1.1 Failure of XCOPY in a tool

(I find no place for reporting bugs on this forum or https://www.textpad.com/support/ so I'm reporting this here.) I was hoping that the upgrade to 8.1.1 would fix the long-standing failure of XCOPY in a tool, but sadly not. On Windows 7 64-bit. Code: REM Run on TP 8.1.1 (64-bit edition) as tool htt...

8.1.1 External tool takes focus/caret

Is there yet anyway to prevent external tool execution from taking the focus/caret from the document window to the tool output window, short of '[ ] Capture output' ?

Re: 8.0.2: "Docu Classes > Def. encoding" effec

Saving a file with an á as UTF-8 file and then re-opening it won't use the default encoding as set in the Document Class - it will interpret it as ANSI. It won't even use the explicit encoding! See http://forums.textpad.com/viewtopic.php?p=42846#42846 . And see: https://www.textpad.com/support/r...

External Tools work as expected.

8.1.0 Is there a .syn that is accurate for HTML, PHP, CSS3?

I've tried the recent ones provided at http://www.textpad.com/add-ons/synn2t.html but the best php-js-css-html.zip, saying it goes to CSS2, doesn't cover e.g. font-family, serif and white-space here:

I don't understand: we're talking about running a program thru TextPad , not the command line itself. Hence I consider all your other 3 variants of inappropriate, as they do not relate to the goal. The two of these these three http://i.imgur.com/PoFaXDu.png that say "As a TextPad tool" we...

This variant only, of course. I wonder what makes you think no other other variant fails. And by CMD.EXE I was implying the full path to the executable, as in http://forums.textpad.com/viewtopic.php?p=42706#42706 (speak: i.e. C:\Windows\System32\cmd.exe ). That variant: http://i.imgur.com/wK8uIGA.p...
