How to Italicize Text in TextPad?

I notice that when I copy-and-paste foreign language text from, say, Wikipedia to TextPad, it retains the foreign characters. More importantly, when I copy the text from TextPad into a tweet, the foreign characters are retained! Woo-hoo!!

For example, in French, accent aigu (é) and accent grave (à ...

OMG! That worked!

All this time, I have been assuming "Foreground" referred to the text itself, so I left it black. I kept looking for an option to toggle a dashed line. However, setting "Foreground" to white turned off the dashed line around the text, but left the text itself black.

Excellent ...

How to Eliminate Dashed Lines Around Text?

I recently upgraded to version 8.2 (paid) on a Windows 10 computer, and am now going through the Settings to get everything back to how I like it.

On the line where the cursor is, I have set the background to be non-white, but I see it comes with dashed lines along the upper and lower edges. Is ...

GIT: Setting TextPad as Default Editor

Any GIT users here?

I just started using GIT as a version control system.
I'd like to specify TextPad as the default editor instead of emacs, vi, or vim (I am using a Windows 7 computer.)

Is it simply a matter of executing the following command?

$ git config --global core.editor textpad ...

Creating Newspaper Columns?

Not sure if this topic has been covered already. Perhaps I am looking under the wrong terms.

How do I format a document to display its content in a specified number of columns?

I am working on a computer program that outputs its (numeric) data down the page. For example:

CC(1, 1, 1) = 5001
CC(1 ...

Counting of Searched for Terms and Finding Duplicates

Hello.

I am presently using TextPad 5.0.3 (paid-version) on a Windows 2000 computer.

I recently volunteered to handle the constantcontact account for my church group. They have hundreds of people signed up for their monthly email newsletter and I am trying to clean up the code somewhat ...

TextPad Setings not Holding

Hello.

I have been using TextPad 4.7.3 (paid-version) for quite a while and am happy with TextPad overall.

Some time ago, TextPad began acting up. I do not know what triggered the quirky behaviour (perhaps a Windows update, but I am just guessing because I rarely change anything on my computer ...

Password Protection?

Hi, folks.

I am using a paid version of TextPad and would like to password protect files.

A search of these forums indicates that PGP or Windows features are options (I suppose Steganos LockNote would be an option as well); however, I am also wondering if this capability is available within ...

Installation Problems

Hello.

I was running TextPad 4.7.3, paid version, on a Windows 2000 computer.

However, lately I was having troubles with it, so I uninstalled it and cannot get it to re-install properly.

Recently, I downloaded and installed Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Express Edition. Just before the install ...

Vielen Dank, "MudGuard".

Your first suggestion works, although it will need some tweaking as line numbers go from two- to three-digit numbers (I want the "C" source code to be left-aligned smoothly, so I will probably end up padding the line-numbering field--so that it has a constant 5-space width ...

Including Line Numbers in Text

Hi, folks.

I am a long-time (and happy) user of TextPad. I am using version 4.7.3, paid mode.

I am about to try something new, and am hoping it can be done with TextPad: I would like line numbers to be included in the text of a document. So far, I know Preferences can be set so that line numbers ...
