TextPad 5.3.1 was already configured that way, but doesn't appear on the RMB context menu. I tried unchecking and rechecking, but that didn't help.

I may revert back to 4.7.3, as there seem to be very few changes from that version to 5.x.

With 5.3.1, when I right-mouse-button click on a file such as MyFile.txt while using Windows Explorer, the resulting context menu doesn't include TextPad.

With 4.7.3, TextPad appeared in the context menu by default, with no intervention on my part.

When I first installed ...

Seems to work ... rather an ugly font, but I'm seeing different "ding-bat" like characters for 0x01, 0x02, 0x03, etc.

I've been using TextPad for quite a few years, and have generally been quite satisfied with it.

I've got a file that is mostly usa-ascii 7-bit characters in the range from 32 to 126 (0x20 thru 0x7e). However, there are some characters in the 1 thru 5 range (0x01 thru 0x5) that are to be treated ...

I have the number of files for the MRU set at 16. When there are over 9 files, only a single digit is shown:
