I have the same question.
I LOVE TextPad and have used it for years, but would also LOVE to choose a different look. :)

Ok, thanks for the clarification...
I am going to assume that the people who I'm introducing to TextPad will purchase a license, I know them pretty well.

Just wanted to let them know what to expect with the "Trial" version.

Trial version info

I have a purchased copy of TextPad and couldn't imagine living without it. I am going to introduce it to some friends and need to know how long the trial version lasts, any reduced functionality, etc. Sorry if this info is somewhere that I should have seen, but I've looked and can't find it. Thanks ...

ben-josephs - you're a dang macro genius....

I wish I understood what each of those macro characters mean. I know what * means, but that's about the extent...

Anyway, it works really fine........

So, once again, thank you for taking the time to write the macro for me.

I'm stumped on where to begin on this macro.....

I have long text files (sample below) - where each line has some numeric data that I would like to strip everything else from. What you see below is a sample of one of the text files. You'll notice that each line has a value for damage - and that value always precedes the text "points of damage ...

Thank you very much, ben_josephs .
I'd not used the bookmark/copy option before, and that works splendidly.

Assistance with a macro please....

Hello all, I have an application that creates large text files. I want to create a macro that will run thru one of these large documents, find lines with a specific word in it, CUT that line and paste it into a second (initially blank) document, and then go back to the first document and do that ...

Your function is working perfectly. Once I put it into a Replace - within a macro that included the ability to tell it to continue to the end of the text - it works perfectly.

Sorry for the trouble and thanks again,

I put it into code blocks as you requested, not sure what else you want... Yes, it is a fairly large block of text. Does your function have some sort of file size limitation? You asked me for a sample of text that required me to run more than once for it to go thru the text. I've done that. What ...

Sorry, didn't realize the text was too large to include it all, and when it was truncated it lost the
tag at the end.

I have shortened the text and it is now inside code tags properly...

Please provide a small example of input that requires the replacement to be performed more than once. Enclose it in a [code] ...
block. Here my most recent text file, and it took me about a half dozen runs of the macro for it to get everything... (this is an exact copy before anything has b ...
