How many of theses suggestions have actually been implemented, being developed and being ignored ? Is Helios doing any development ? OT: Should more of the smaller groups of software developers amalgamate to gain economies of scale-> share resources, share code, share marketing, share management->in...

Has the poll ranking gone to ground ? Do Helios use their own CVS in house to track adding features and fixing bugs ? Would it be better to make an online survey using the suggestions and make it more statistically representative (email sent to registered users and forum members). Link user demograp...

I'm odd. I like to use the apostrophe. It doesn't denote a break in a sentence or list. It's in there to hold a place for what we could write in words. A list: 100100 200 300500 In a sentence as a list using comma 100,100,200,300,500 In a sentence as a list using apostrophe 100'100,200,300'500 I kno...

Maybe a lite version of textpad with a simplified GUI depending on task mode (We don't all want to edit python code using a 240x320 screen). The focus may have to be for a few small files and not the wide range of filetypes and tools/features as on Win32. It would be interesting to see what people w...

Windows x86-64 version
Now that we have Intel, AMD and Microsoft with x86-64, I would like a 64bit version. This could speed up text search/replace operations and increase to file size limitations (<4GB in Win32). Log files are getting larger and systems are getting more RAM. AMD = Opteron, Athlon64 has AMD64. Intel = Som...

The other option would be to treat multiple spaces as indentation while editing. The kb navigation (arrow keys) would skip over the existing multiple spaces as if they were tabs and add spaces as defined by the preferences instead of tab. This is done dynamically and would not destroy embeded format...

I'll add my vote. This might be similar to 'Spike' in MS Word (which is a little haphazard). You could use the internal TextPad clipboard to save multiple snippets and allow the user to paste the group in one hit. It's also a similar idea to MS Excel where you can select random cells/rows/coulmns ed...

ctrl-tab bug. * 4 documents open; * click through each down the list; * select 2nd document and quickly ctrl-tab; * list blinks to 4th document and then back to 2nd document, not as designed; * It's as if the value of the previous document is not updating in time for the ctrl-tab event to execute co...

Sounds very useful (without using Windows/IE favourites/history). WinXP likes to forget where you are in the path (hides path) in explorer and some dialogs (offTopic to TextPad). Windows and other apps put too much information within the profile diretory; need to set folder redirection. I sometimes ...

I want to have a backup of what I was editting but I don't want to overwrite the original all the time. I often have several unnamed/unsaved scratch/temp documents opened. If I enable the auto-save it demands a filename. It may also save documents that I had opened that are in use by others or conta...
