Macro copies selected lines from one file paste to another

Quite often I would like to run a macro that will search for any lines that contain a specific text string, copy the line, switch to a new file (already opened), paste the line, switch back to the original file and continue the macro to the end of file. Just curious if other people are seeing these issues: 1. Macro menu says "Stop Recording" all the time although selecting "Stop Recording" will start recording if recording is not already active.
